I've left my runner beans while I go on a 2 week summer holiday before and they have a load of massive 'wooden' runner beans hanging from them when I get back - no use to anyone.
I was wondering this year if I could trim them back to about 1.5m high and give them a good feed/water to see if they will re-sprout and give a second crop.
Anyone tried this?
