help my shrub is dying but I cant identify problem!
Hi, I have a shrub which I have grown from seed and had for about 4 years now. This year I have noticed that something - maybe an aphid or a disease - is causing all the leaves to gradually 'bleach' then go yellow and die. The bleaching effect seems to be worst on the undersides of the leaves, spreading to the top and there is a dry sediment once the leaf is in an advanced stage. I think I did notice very tiny whitish insects moving along the leaf edges so I blitzed it with pest control. Unfortunately, even though I sprayed the whole plant, the condition has now spread to the new shoots and almost decimated the main growth. When I pick a leaf and tear it in half, the inside is still green but the outer cells are whitish and dry. Can anyone tell me if this is a disease or if the tiny insects have caused the damage, and what I can do to prevent death? many thanks.
