Mine are exactly the same. But if you look just behind those dead flowers you will see (now or in a weeks time) the beans beginning to develop. Broad Beans always develop from the base of the plant upwards. Maybe the weather has made it a bit pronounced this year or maybe you just didn't notice last year.
