i am growing sweetcorn in the garden as i have on previous years and on some plants i have 2 sweetcorn growing on one plant with one of them being a lot smaller.i would like to know if i should remove the smaller cob to help with the growing of the other healthier one?
It all depends! If the plants are growing really strongly and you live in area with good sun, then each plant should be able to grow two cobs.
But I always only grow one per plant. You end up with a fuller cob that way. When I remove the others, I wait until they are the size of baby sweetcorn and eat them - delicious. And very expensive in the supermarkets.
