Hi all i am very new to the allotment scene,i have already succesfully grown some potatos which i planted in march which were delecious.A while back i planted some more seeded potatos in another part of the allotment(not in the same place as i planted before) and all seemed well i have large blooming plants but recently the leaves have started turning a browny/black colour and have started to drop of or kill the plant.
Could anyone tell me what this could be and how to solve it.

Now the beetroot i understand that beetroot wont grow on freshly manured ground when i stared my patch which was around jan/feb can anyone tell me how long it takes before the beetroot will start to grown on the patch.?

any help would be much appriciated.
