Lime the soil the winter prior to planting brassicas if the soil is on the acidic side.
Don't plant any more brassucas on the same infected site for the next five years.
If the site hasn't been used for four years then the normal method of infection is on the roots of plants bought in. Did you sow from seed (the best way) or did you plant young plants?
