PYRACANTHA PROBLEM

Hello, Can anyone offer some advice please? I have a few pyracantha red column bushes in my garden, I planted them last spring, none of them have produced any berries so far, do you think they need a plant of the opposite sex like holly does to berry or is there something else I could do. thanks in anticipation

Re: PYRACANTHA PROBLEM

No they do not need plants of the opposite sex. Normally flowerfruit on second-year wood. Need a sunny position for the brightest berry display. Prune after flowering but be careful not to prune berries.
