I'm growing mini sweetcorn plants for the first time. They've shot up and are very tall & I can see now where the sweetcorn are growing from. But, I've realised a little late that each plant might only produce two/three mini cobs....I've only planted three plants! Is this correct?....Thanks for any advice.
webmaster is correct I'm afraid, they do well to have 3-4 ears each. with three plants, if they are just now tasseling, I would consider hand pollinating the silks.
Shake the top of the plant into a paper bag, then turn the bag over the silk on the tip of the ear and tap the bag. This will optimize your three plants by assuring co,plete pollination.
