Mint taking over!

Hi, I'm housesitting for some friends at the moment who have recently bought a new property with a host of things to be done in the veg, fruit and herb gardens, not to mention the gardens themselves!

The biggest problem at the moment is the mint - its flowering beautifully but doesn't have many leaves, and is taking over the entirety of the plot it's in. Can I cut it back at all or will that kill it? I think I might be in trouble if it's deceased when my friends return!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Mint taking over!

Hi Karen.

Cut back the mint as much as you want because it's almost impossible to kill it. It multiplies like a weed when left to it's own devices.
