Can anyone help.I have recently started trying to grow my own veg and became really excited when the seeds I'd planted actually started to grow!
I now have tomato's, Courgettes and Cucumbers. It's the cucmbers which I have a query. I've recently read that I should be removing the male flowers but how do I tell which is the male and which is female??
are the plants indoors or out,? indoor (greenhouse) dont bother,
if out door take the male flower off it just means the fruit wont be bitter
i have grown indoor without takeing the flowers off
can u c farmer going round takeing all the male flowers off, u can get hybred cuc`s no male flower
Hi, thank you for your help, it's much appreciated it.
The cucumbers are in a greenhouse so should be ok to leave the male and female flowers on you say. I might try one plant leaving them on and another removing the males to see the taste difference.
