Rather than answer the question I`d like to pose another. I live in Japan, where it`s very hot and humid in the summer, but cold in winter. I am just starting an allotment and have heard from fellow gardeners that rhubarb can`t be grown here. I remember how hardy the plants are from my childhood in Britain and would very much like to be able to make a rhubarb crumble for my daughter here in Japan. Any suggestions?
