I started cutting back bushes,annuals,etc this weekend and went a little edward scissorhands on my oakleaf hydrangea, only to call a garden center who recommended no pruning at all. Help! I cut them back to about 18" inches from the ground. Will they grow and flower in the spring or have I killed 6 perfectly good bushes?
