I had a very healthy Japanese Maple in my front yard. Recently I had some landscaping work done, mainly mulching trees. I notice that my Maple is now got leaves that are shriveling and turning white all of a sudden and want to know if the mulching that was done has anything to do with it, because that is the only visible change that I can see that has changed? If so is the remedy simply removing the mulch as I desperately want to keep the tree from dying. It is about 10-12 feet tall and has been really healthy until about 7 days ago.
