Hi,
First time to this site and will admitt to feeling a tad foolish to be checking out a Bowie site at the age of 47. Pls. don't be offended but am assuming with a daughter 17 then I"m not the only old 'freak' out there! In any case I recently brought my 14 yr. old son to see Bowie. In my mind I think everyone should have a chance to see him at least once in their lives, (was my 7th). My boyfriend had never seen him either so I don't know what I was more excited about; turning them on to Bowie or seeing him again myself. As usual he was wonderful. His constant banter with his audience captivated all even the most hesitant of fans. His voice was as strong and true as ever and his version of Ziggy was ended with the purest of notes. His show consisted of almost all the old songs, ones my son has grown up with and he was shocked to find he knew so many. I left the show floating on air as I always do with any live music but especially him and found my son wanting to borrow Bowie cd's from me the next day. Kind of cool. I felt one more aspect of being a mother was fulfilled!
