Allison, unfortunately our country is not made up of the same type of people who we know and associate with. For the most part these foxhunter websites are made up of people who like the outdoors, have to work for a living, have always expected to work for a living, and are not looking out for handouts. So many of the young people of today and most of the people who live in the North in cities and don't know what common sense hard working ethics are about are the ones that will elect Obama and the results we are looking at here are not made up of those types of people. I wish our country was made up of the type person who frequents these websites but that is not true unfortunately.
Greg- And I would bet you are wrong! Half is a mighty big number, and if that were the case I think we would see more people saying they are voting for the "hand out" candidate.
MR.OUTLAW, HAVE ALREADY SEEN YOUR TWO CENTS WORTH. DIDN'T ASK FOR ANY CHANGE! ALL I ASK FOR WAS YOUR NAME AND WHO YOU WERE FOR, SO LETS KEEP IT TO THAT! JOE BENTON 910-872-2075
Outlaw... I will be on welfare when your man gets elected!!!! Just go to another site! Claiming all these good old boy's, and girls are on welfare is suicide!! Keep those kind of dumb opinions to yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go out and get yourself this months American Hunter magazine, it will give you a real nice view of where personal ownership of any gun will go. Gives you all the facts on future gun ownership if Barack/Joe get the ticket.
Unfortunately, I'm afraid that we (those of us who own and run hounds) will once again find ourselves in the minority. NC has been a solid red state (in presidential races) since voting for Jimmy Carter in 1976. Nobama is leading here, as he is in VA, OH, and FL.
I expect that many will look back in 30 years and have the same (or worse) impression about the presidential election of 2008 (and the policies enacted in the subsequent 4 years) as I do about the 1976 election.
...not so much a matter of "changing their mind", but moreso a matter of simply not showing up at the polls to vote for McCain "because he is going to lose anyway."
Polls are just numbers, look at UNC Tarheels with RoY Williams they are ranked #1 in all the major polls, but will they win the NCAA Championship, I don't think so
strait Republican ticket, but the guy was right who said up North they'll vote for Dems, couple boys that work for me said they're family is up there and they can't change their mind, sad!
