It depends on what your preferences are. If you want to correct your hound with a tone and/or stimulation, you will need to get an Alpha. If you prefer to use touch screen, you will need to get an Alpha. If you prefer to press a button and are not planning to purchase collars that allow you to correct your hounds, the Astro 430 should be your choice.
Both track the same number of collars and the same distances. One of your biggest decisions will be collar selection. T5 - track only. TT15 - track and training capabilities. And of course the TT15 cost more than the TT5 since it has more options just like the Alpha costs more than the Astro 430 because it has more options too.
