The first day of the 2016 All American wrapped up today.
Yesterday, we had a tremendous banquet that was high-lighted by honoring the late Chubby Paul. Our meal was also tremendous at the event. A crew led by Ronnie Cox prepared the meal with Mrs. M.K. Stegall preparing the delicious deserts.
We had 397 hounds entered with 31 judges on hand to look at them.
We had a few light showers during the day with plenty of running and a lot of hunting and trailing scores noted by the judges.
We scratched 28 hounds today.
In hunting, the top hound scored 65 points and it took 30 points to get in the top ten.
In trailing, the top hound had 40 points and there were 8 other hounds with trailing scores
In speed and drive, the top hound scored 155 points and it took 95 to get in the top 10.
Overall, the top hound had 65-40-40.
Tomorrow looks to be an interesting day as there is very nasty weather predicted.
