Blankets for top ten in male and female classes in the Bench Show, Best in Show, Best Opposite Sex, Best Pair, Best Pack, and ALL top ten categories. First place hound will also receive..... Now if I told the surprise it wouldn't be a surprise!!!
The South LA AFHA Derby/All Age Field Trial & Bench Show will be the first Field Trial to run under the New Organization “AFHA” A few things you might not know about the AFHA "Winners Circle" That's right The AFHA will have what will be known as the "Winners Circle" we will recognize the HOY, SOY and ONE DAY HOY for 2016.
This will bring a new twist to AFHA Field Trials, With the New Organization the Field Trial can choose to hold a ONE DAY HOY Hunt, during the said Field Trial the cost will be $1 a dog. Which will consist of the scores from the first day of running.(The $1 a dog will go towards the year end awards) All you need to do is advertise you are doing this in the Hunter's Horn with your ad. You have to enter said Field Trial to be eligible for the ONE DAY HOY, complete an entry sheet for the said Field Trial and the ONE DAY HOY, pay entry fee for both events. The Top TEN dogs entered in the ONE DAY HOY will receive points "IF" they entered the ONE DAY HOY. This will be like attending two hunts at the same time, the regular Field Trial will also be paying a $1 a dog affiliation for all hounds entered in the Derby and All-Age. You will be paying two entry fees and receiving points for two hunts. But only having the expense of traveling to one.
Example: 100 dogs entered the said Field Trial, 50 dogs entered the ONE DAY HOY, the Field Trial owes the AFHA $150.
80% of these fees will be used towards year end awards.
Example on how the Pay-out will work for the South LA, ONE DAY HOY say the 3rd and 4th place dog didn't enter the ONE DAY HOY the other eight dogs will split the money. The entry fee for the ONE DAY HOY at the South LA will be $20 a dog, with $18 of this being paid back to the Top Ten entered in the ONE DAY HOY
