I Have a 6 mnth old female walker hound, that I've raised from birth. All off a sudden she has gotten skinny and from the looks of her gums dehydrated. She is in the house now, sunday night she had eatin some regular dog food and drank water. But Monday I had to give her water with a syinge for a bit but she has since drank on her own. I also gave her some milk and raw egg mix, as ive heard raw eggs can be of help. I gave her a shot of penicillin Sunday and Monday and made chicken and rice for today's meals. Any other words of wisdom or any ideas of what could be wrong?
If you can get a IV in her that'll help bout 200 CC's every 6 to 8 hrs and give her a syringe with bout 6 ccs of pure honey to boost her electrolytes... Also as precautionary I would give her rymdyl 100mg every 24 hours if you have any... most likely a virus and is probly swelling her intestens and making her sick not wanting to eat or drink dehydration kills fast IV's will get her through it if it is a virus antibotics wont help but they wont hurt either...
IF you can get some albon even if she is 6 months old it will help about 6cc morning @ night what bobby said you need to do but the albon will bring her back to life if it is possible.
