Since I don't own one yet, but am looking into it, I have a question. And remember, I ain't the most "techno" oriented guy in the world either.

My question....what is the importance of this "Birdseye" software which folks are talking about? I thought the Garmin had the software to map a hound in and on the terrain where it is running? So why would one need to download a program & have to put a "sd" card in it in order to operate it?
Help me understand!

Also, I see much discussion about the different collars. So, another question....if one is primarily runnin "inside the wire", which of the collars works best?

Hi Allan--I suggest you call Howard Owen. He set me up with the system and seemed very competent with it---I'm out in Calgary for a couple more days--Will call when i get home.

Allen the best way to put it is with birds eye u are looking at google earth map with trees, fields, creeks, etc but with plain topo it is just rds.hope this helps
