Elizabeth Ann Linker called me a few minutes ago and said Bill passed away at home about 11PM last night. He just collasped on his way to the bathroom. She hasn't made the arrangements yet.

So sorry to hear this. Have been to several hunts with him and always enjoyed listening to him.

i remember talking too him one night at the 05 national during a visit to yellow rose,he said it was 50 natl&futuritys in a row he had attended and he added some since that one,what a run.

ONE-OF-A-KIND. Bill gave my wife and me a male puppy for a wedding gift. I never had enough money to buy
a female pup.
One Bill Story.
Bill won the North Georgia. Drove home. Got there
late at night. As he was going into the house he
opened the doors to his dog box and went into the
house. The next morning a neighbor called him and told
him that they thought that one of his hounds had
gotten run over in the highway near their home. Bill
got into his truck and drove to check it out. There
lay the hound that the day before that had won the
North Georgia. When I questioned him why had he just
turned her loose when he got home, he told me because
that turning them loose on the outside was what
prepared her to win the North Georgia.
I loved Bill in spite of himself and he love me in
spite of myself. I will miss him.

I have known the Linkers most of my life, and have many fond memories with the two of them. In the end, memories are what remain of those we care about. A major void will be left in Bill's absence, as he produced a number of excellent hounds down through the years. My deepest sympathy to his wife, my very good friend, Liz.

Sorry to hear about Bill. Went up to his place one time and treated me like family while I was there. He and Liz sure contributed to the foxhound bloodlines.. He may be gone but never forgotten.

I am very saddened to hear of Bill's passing.

We have hunted together many times several years ago and I have many field trial memories of him as well.

He bred a lot of good hounds with E.Ky. ch. Linker's Topsy being one of the top hounds I ever hunted with.

Sorry to hear this. I meet Mr. Linker at the Ohio state a few years back. really liked him.

SORRY TO HEAR THIS HAD SOME GREAT TIMES WITH BILL.

Had some good times with Bill and Liz. We were always picking at one another, I've missed them not being at the hunts the last year or so. To me he was always a good sport win or lose. I will miss him.

Some of the best hounds I ever put a collar on came from Biil and LIZ. Had some great times with this GREAT fox hunter. best wishes to LIZ. Bill was sure fun to be around .
