413 hounds entered in the National. Absolutely terrible weather for day 1. Heavy rain at 5AM till 7AM at cast. Winds blew 30 mph and it was very tough to course hounds. Top hound has 25 in hunting and 60 s&d. Top hunting hound has 35 with 15 s&d. Top s&d has 115 and it takes 55 to get in the top ten.
