I have fed the sports mix but it is hard to find around my house.One store has it but he may have it this week and not next.Where can I find sportmix in Eastern, NC (Kinston or New Bern Area) and price on it.

If you are in or around the New Bern area, you might want to try Showtime. Lot of folks are liking it.

We have fed High Standard which was decent food, we fed showtime when we first started field trialing and the food was inconsistant, oily, we then moved to orange pride which was the best food ever, orange pride, but we all know they have went down hill recently.. we have been only feeding riveer run since Friday and its pork based and seems to be working with energy level, and we watc how they act at home as well, if they lay around or still move after being hunted.. id name some foods 2 if I was trying to be a salesman but I don't sale, not sell food I just stating the fact that we like so far and appreciation to whisky creek for doing buisness with outlaw and high octane kennels :)

Like greg said some of the feed is the green bag of pride and the orange the black bag of sport mix and caliber some of the best.

unless they changed something, 5 years ago River Run ranked just below molded bread. It "was" the worst feed I ever fed. Maybe they changed the formula.

U sure do have a lot to say with no last name, like I said I've fed high standard I've fed Orange pride for over a year, which for 6 months was great, now got some hair problems and other issues, we run our hounds hard, and this food seems to make them feel better, they pooping tight and black now at first not but 5 days into the process its A ok, john where can I buy a bag from you, ???

The River Run I fed was in a red bag. It was horrible. I've heard from several people stating Pride dog food went downhill. I have been feeding PMI Advantage and Stonewall (made by CMF) and have noticed the quality has deteriorated in all. I think its the economy and everyone is trying save a little $ by downgrading their product.

Rooster that can,t be right,,,Everyone has gone up 3.00 per bag since August,,,no way...can they be cutting corners.

Thats how it was when i tried it.But at one time I could not find anyone who had something good to say bout it so with what i have read I figure they mave have changed it.We had bought it in bulk and ended up feeding to the fox.Pride is really easy for me to get but it sucks now.One batch will be ok and dry and next will be very oily.Probably just gonna go back to black gold.Loved it and it stay consistant.My group wanted to switch cause of not having to drive far to get pride.Guess i will be calling cliff and getting some quality feed once again.Thanks for all the info and help guys.John

Lets see if I can remember the different types of feed I've fed...two different kinds of plantation, three different kinds of pride, hi-standard, sportsman choice, black gold, and probably a few more that I can't remember over the last 15-20 years and right now I think the 24/20 is holding up as good if not better than any food I've ever fed. The thing I like the most is every bag is consistent; other types in the past would be dark and greasy one bag and the next beg would be light and dry. Would definitely recommend the river run!!!

Plantation 24-20 with omegas in the Red Bag Love it!!!

Just started feeding Hi-Standard in January and I love it. I know feed has been going up and I have noticed changes in other brands before i switched to the Hi-Standard 26-18. HS is always the same bag after bag, would rather pay for quality than shop around for the cheapest thing on the market. i will give my dogs away before i feed them crap.

I agree I'd rather pay a few more dollars and feed a good feed...I feed the orange bag of high standard 24-20 and really liked it! Best feeds I have feed are between the High Standard 24-20 and the red bag of plantation with omegas 24-20. I tired a lot of feeds. All others were inconsteint or just were nearly as good. Plantation is convient for me and the owner has done a lot to give back to helping protect hound hunting
