Championship Series

Well the year 2016 started off pretty good with 132 hounds for the lst of the Championship series. The rain held off except for misting a little and the hounds were excited to get started. Our 17 judges must have been excited also because they had loads of scores. The running was good and the girls entering scores had to stay busy all morning. I want to thank Coy Norris for being our Master of Hounds. Coy always does a great job. Also thanks to our Bench Show Judge Lamar Blalock and Ring Master Marvin Ricks for also doing a great job. We had a very fine group of judges and they worked very hard. They were as follows: Coy Norris, Butch Howell, Cecil Lee, James Benton, Lamar Blalock, Bill Holden, Eddie Alnutt, Marvin Ricks, Tommy Carter, Chandler Strickland, Craig Shingleton, Cade Watts, Curt Arnette, Charles Southerland, Kevin Howell, Carson Strickland, and Cody Watts . Many thanks to all of you. I really appreciate your help and support. I want to thank Irene Howell for coming to help Hilda with the posting of scores. Hilda said she could not have done it without you.. Thanks also to Lisa McShane for help in the kitchen and for taking pictures and posting them. Thank you Brianna Batton for helping collect for meals and selling the 50/50 tickets. Half of these raffle sales go to the winner of the drawing and the other half along with $1.00 per entry goes to the NC Wildlife Preserve Association . Again I want to thank the feed companies that support our hunt, they are Mike Carr with Pride and Randy McGouvern with Show Time . I want to also thank Wally Johnson with Johnson Dog Supply for the availability of good products. I am sure you hunters thank him too. Hope everyone can come back on February 13th for our next Championship Series hunt. Congratulations to all the winners.
