Gates County Hunt Club "Sandbanks" in Gates Co., N.C., will be having two outside field trials on January 18, and February 8, 2014. They are open class Speed & Drive Hunts, cast at 8 a.m. Run for 4 hours with trophies awarded to the top 20. Entry fee is $15 per dog with an optional $5 side bet. Registration begins at 6 a.m., at Hall Ruritan Club, 99 Tinkham Rd., Eure, N.C., 27935. We are located near the intersection of 13 and 158, behind Tarheel Bar-B-Q, all the way to the Chowan River. We have 60 members, who cannot enter hounds, but are mandatory to judge both trials. Come out and have fun!

You will have access to 20,000+ acres to get your dogs back, but the trial itself is held on about 7,000 acres

We will be having a raffle as well with a Garmin Astro 320 w/ DC50 combo w/ 100k topo, quick connects, and roof mount antenna, being the top prize
