I would like to compliment Mike Sutton and the Jones Sr. FFA on putting on a great hunt at Walnut Creek Saturday. They had plenty of judges that knew how to judge a good dog and it showed! It took 575 pts. to win the S&D in the Derby and 685 pts. to win in the All Age, which shows the judges did a great job, the hounds were some of the best I've seen this year, and the game was ready to run! Hopefully the next field trial on June 8th will be just as good. (Maybe we can set another pen record)
The proceeds from the hunt will be used to help send the Jones Sr. Hunter Safety Team to New Mexico to represent Eastern NC in the National Competition. I want to wish them GOOD LUCK and have a great time, memories like these are precious!
this was a good hunt, i have heard the pen did not run well, well i have to say dont believe every thing you hear. i was there about 3 and half hours after the hunt trying to get one hound caught and he had no problem running..and congrats to bustin loose for winning the aa, she is a good hound.. and every one else that placed..
