C&M Puppy & Derby

Well our May l1th hunt was another good one I think. We had 45 puppies and 39 Derby. We cast at 6:20am and it didn’t take long for the action to start. The running was hard and the temperature got warm fast and it had a lot of the young hounds needing a break. I would like to thank all the hunters for coming to C&M and we had some first timers. Thanks for driving 2 l/2 hours, hope you enjoyed the hunt and hope to see you back soon. You hunters know how to make someone feel good, thanks.
I want to thank our Master of Hounds Kevin Howell and Bench Show judge Dwight Little and Ring Master, Dwayne Enzor .Other judges were Brad Howell, Butch Howell, Chase Carter, Tommy Carter, Curt Arnette, David Godwin, Jay Child, Dinky Johnson, Canon Ward and Jason Prevatte.No way we can thank these fellows enough. They go the extra mile to see that everything is done right. Hilda could not help this week. She broke her foot and I hope she will be back in June. We need her very much . I didn’t know she did as much as she did. Thanks to Lisa McShane for entering hounds and then entering the scores this week as well as still doing some cleaning up (thanks). I want to thank the feed companies that supported us again, Mike Carr with Pride ( you can find it at Wills Feeds in Chadbourn,N.C. ) and Randy McGovern with Show Time and a good place to find it is at the Cement Barn in Cerro Gordo. Thank you hunters for supporting C&M. This hunt counted for the Test of the Best. Our next hunt will be June 8th. Hope to see you then.

Hope the new hunters enjoyed the fine facilities and hospitality that cm fox preserve provides and will come back again and invite others who hadn't ever came to a hunt here. Mr Ward...as we spoke before...the pen was awesome, great running, lots of game, clean up kept pen and facilities. Good group of experienced judges and great food, hospitality and fellowship!! Would recommend this pen to anyone that hunts..as a first timer there the experience was great!! Congrats to all that placed in both classes!!

Sorry for the late response on the pictures. We had another great hunt this past Saturday and seen several new faces at the pen. Congratulations to Coalition Kennels for winning the puppy class and to Hooked up Kennels on winning the Derby class. Hope to see all of you guys at the next hunt on the second weekend of June.

Slim, The picture of Mr. Buddy is a classic. I wish we could've got one of Mr. James Clemmons, maybe next time. Ya'll got to stop slipping out on me so soon after the hunt's.

Enjoyed another good hunt @ C&M. Congrat's to all that placed.I even seen some fast white dog's at the hunt (i thoght i was dreaming). What bout that, Mr.Lonnie?? hehe
