C&M Puppy and Derby Hunt 04/13/13

All went well. The day was beautiful, the dogs were eager and the judges were up for a lot of scoring . Could not have asked for more. I want to thank Kevin Howell for mastering the hunt along with all the other judges who were as follows: Dwight Little, Butch Howell, Brad Howell, Danny Powers, Curt Arnette, David Ward, James Coxe, Jason Prevatte, Chase Carter, D. Johnson, Tommy Carter, and Canon Ward . Thanks guys for all your hard work. I really appreciate it. Thanks again to all the helpers with the program entries and with the food and all the other work. These were Hilda Ward, Terri Ward and Lisa McShane.
Dog Feed donations came from Mike Carr with Pride Dog Feed Co., and picked up from Will’s Feed & Seed in Chadbourn,N.C., Randy McGovern donated Showtime Dog Feed that was picked up from the Cement Barn in Cerro Gordo,N.C. I really appreciate these donations and I am sure the hunters do also.
We had another good turnout of kids and they seem to have had a good time as usual . I really like that. Thanks to all the hunters for supporting C&M and I welcome you all back to our 2 day Derby hunt on April 26th and 27th.

Once again another AWESOME hunt at C&M. Congratulations to Travis Brooks on winning the puppy class and to Shake-N-Bake Kennels for as strong a showing as anyone could have placing one, two, and three. Congrats to everyone that placed and keep up the good work guys. I will post the pictures later this afternoon when I get time.

This little man was just to cool not to have a picture of. He walked his hound on his leash for 2 hours while the judges computed the scores. He was dirty from head to toe and probably had more fun at this field trial than anyone. Kids like this young man are the future of our sport. How can you not smile when you see a kid like this at a field trial?
