American Beagle Club Fast Pack Fall Classic
The Pee Dee Beagle Club will be hosting the ABC Fall Classic at Moore’s Rabbit Pen just outside Whiteville, North Carolina on November 9th & 10th. The Fall Classic will be a 2 day event using the ABC Fast Pack Rules with some modifications. The first day will consist of a max of 3 qualifying casts, depending on how many entries we have. Dogs will be randomly drawn to see which cast they will be in. Dogs will be run in 2 hour cast with an equal number competing in each cast. The top 8 in each cast will advance to the second day. ABC Fast Pack Rules will be used with the scoring times cut in half for day 1 (Hunting every 30 minutes, Trailing every 10 minutes, Speed & Drive every 5 minutes). ABC reserves the right to modify the rules based on dog count.
If there is enough interest there will be a last chance buyback cast. Last chance buyback will be $10 a dog.
A Bench Show will follow all the casts on the first day. Trophies will be awarded for Best of Show, Best Opposite Sex, and Combination. Combination will be based on second day performance.
DAY 2
The second day will be a 4 hour ABC Fast Pack rules hunt, with only the Qualified dogs from day one competing for the title. Scores from day 2 will determine the winners.
Entry Fee
-$25 entry fee per dog and a $10 ABC yearly membership fee for non-members
Awards
-Trophies will be awarded for the Top 10 on day 2 + $300 prizes will be divided among the top 5. Certificates will be awarded for 10-15 and in the top10 in each class on day 2.
-Points will be awarded for the overall number of dogs in the hunt, for ABC Champion Points
The beagle height limit will be 16”. Dogs in question can be measured before registration, but all dogs deemed to be too tall after entering will not receive a refund.
