One question, you say this is a RABBIT trial, so if a hound runs a deer, like they did yesterday at Mayberry, will those dogs be scratched, or will they be scored on DEER, and allowed to win the hunt? That mess yesterday at Mayberry was the biggest goat roping ive ever seen. And why cant we be allowed inside the pen to observe the races?
Dogs will only be scored on rabbits. It is a Rabbit Trial. We had several complaints during the last field trial about people dogs not performing how they should when there is a large crowd in the pen. So that is the reason for us not allowing people in the pen other than judges. There is plenty of room to walk around the outside of the pen and see some running. The only reason a dog is scrathed is for excessive babbling. If your dog gets enough points the first hour to place and decides to lay down. He will not be scratched. We will try our best to ensure that there isn't any deer in our pen. We havent seen any in it. But they can get in there over night.
