Not sure if emails are read

Most of my email communication is business-related, involving sending various files and documents to partners and clients. Often, this is important information that needs to be received and reviewed quickly. When I send files via email, I can't tell if the email has been read or if I need to send reminders.

One alternative is using messengers, where you can see immediately if the recipient has read your message. But I have no idea how to do this with email.
