How did you get into the Snorks?

Of course, we all love the Snorks. But how did you first get interested it?

As for me, I got into the show in October 2004, completely by accident. I was really bored, and my favorite game show wasn't going to be on for a half hour. I decided to kill some time by watching whatever was on Boomerang.

It turned out to be an episode of the Snorks. In particular, it was "The Sand Witch/Salmon Chanted Evening". I enjoyed it so much I decided to watch the next episode...and the next...and the next...

...and the rest is history.

Re: How did you get into the Snorks?

I was only 5 when I got into the Snorks. The first episode I saw was Jaws Say the Word. I found the Snorks interesting after seeing some more episodes. I kept watching the Snorks until they got cancelled (sad, isn't it?) but I'm so glad Boomerang is playing it after so many long years. I still watch it often. I still think this was one of the best cartoons ever made. I'm suprised that I never got bored of the snorks like I did with some of the other cartoons from the 80's.

Re: How did you get into the Snorks?

After hearing about The Snorks and how cool of a series it was on VH1's I Love the 80s 3D, I was like, I should have watched this when it was still on Cartoon Network. I do remember my dad renting us a tape for me and my older sister to watch. However, it only had 4 episodes and I hardly remember anything about it. I know there still on Boomerang, but I don't get that channel. But if the DVD ever comes out commercially, I have to get it. I plan on taking up game programming and might make a video game out of the Snorks. It would be a party-type game where you would answer questions on the series and also play different mini-games, because I'm a game show fan like you, Ryan. However, it might be hard due to the fact that I have no sound clips of the characters and what not. Otherwise, great show, and I hope to see it sometime in the near future.

Re: How did you get into the Snorks?

Sounds like an awesome project. I'd love to hear how it turns out.

Wait a sec...the Snorks were mentioned on "I Love The 80's 3D"? Course, it had to be the one I DIDN'T tape. Well, guess I'll just have to go looking for it. With how often that reruns, it shouldn't be a prob.

Re: How did you get into the Snorks?

For me, I got into the Snorks from the very beginning...but it wasn't until 1986 that I got into the level I still do today.

I have gotten into other programs as well, but they will never match the Snorks, the characters I have known and loved since 15-Sept 1984...after all, if I didn't like the Snorks, there wouldn't be a Snorks site like this one!

Re: How did you get into the Snorks?

And thank goodness there is a Snorks site like this one!

The funny thing is, when I first got Boomerang, I said "Wow! Now I can see all the old programs I used to love again!" Turns out almost all of them weren't nearly as good as I remembered. And The Snorks, the one show I fell in love with, was one I ignored throughout my childhood!

Funny how life works sometimes, eh?

Re: How did you get into the Snorks?

I got a stuffed Allstar before the show came out, and when I saw the commercial for the show, I had to watch!

Re: How did you get into the Snorks?

HI I LIKED IT EVER SINCE I WAS A LITTLE KID I REMEBER ON SATURDAY WAKEING UP AT SEVEN AM AND WATING UNTIL 8 AM TO WATCH THE SNORKS IT WOULD BE JUST ME AND MY MOM IN THE LIVING ROOM WATCHING IT TOGETHER AND I WOULD SIT ON TOP OF A PILLOW AND WATCH IT I EVEN BEGED MY MOM TO BUY THE LUNCH BOX BUT SHE SAID THAT IT COSTED TO MUCH BUT BACK THEN LUNCH BOXES WERE TOO EXSPENCIVE

Re: How did you get into the Snorks?

It was Friday September 18, 2009. I was visiting my dad at his old house on the riverbank near where I live, and he had just gotten DirecTV with Boomerang. I went to check the channel out because of a rumor that one of the Sonic cartoons was coming to that channel. I saw the guide and learned that the Snorks would come on next then the Smurfs. I decided to watch the Snorks, remembering way back when I saw them on VH1's I Love the 80's 3D. I instantly remembered them when I saw the theme, and as I unpacked my stuff I watched "The Day They Fixed Junior Wetworth." I had a feeling that if I watched more episodes, I would really get hooked onto the show. The next week, I decided to watch another episode, and I did again the next morning. After that, I decided to research the snorks on the internet, where I then found a few episodes on YouTube, and I've loved the Snorks ever since.
