We're not from "the City" but we're from the "Southern Tier" (Oneonta area). Does NYC have a decent faerie scene? We're sort of out "in the boonies" so there's not much of any scene out here (yet).
I hope you got to meet some like-minded folks closer to you. We're currently doing art (the hubby teaches) raising our son and dealing with a collection of pastured animals in as natural a setting as we can.
We love the traditional and less-traditional tales, the history that melds with them--all that cool faerie stuff. Those are the things that most often inspire my art. If you're ever in the Southern Tier maybe we can meet up and chat all things fae. ;-)
