children with hearing loss
I am looking for any information for young children with severe to moderate hearing loss in Sioux Falls, SD. My son is 2 1/2 years old and I would like to get him involved with other young children with hearing loss. |

Have you asked for help with this from a state Family Support worker? 1-800-265-9684 http://www.state.sd.us/dhs/dd/family/index.htm Have you talked to an outreach worker from the state School For The Deaf? 367-5200. |

I would also check with Communication Services for the Deaf at 367-5759 and may have some ideas also. I have two deaf children (5 and 14) and would be willing to visit with you at any time also! Good luck! |

Hi! I am deaf - severe to profound - and use hearing aids and communicate by voice, but also know sign language. I'm a 39 year old mother of two kids that are also hard of hearing. My 8 year old son is moderate to severe and my 5 year old daughter is mild to moderate. Both wear hearing aids and communicate by voice. They both are learning sign language.
