Expo '67
April 27, 1967... opening of Expo'67 in Montreal. I remember the monorails (yellow and blue), the hovercraft rides around the island, Canada pavilion, Russian pavilion, US pavilion, Thailand pavilion, the Kaleidoscope, La Ronde, lots of walking and watered down drinks when you got tired. We ended up going 2 or 3 times though that summer and visited La Ronde again quite often in the following years. Anyone else old enough to remember that year? |
