A few questions about the island
In the next 3 months my husband and I plan on buying land and relocating. We're looking at the Little Current area as a strong possibility but since we don't currently live on the island I'm hoping someone could answer a few questions for me. First, how bad is the doctor shortage affecting Little Current? I read on the Manitoulin site that there is no shortage of family doctors in the area but a recent editorial I read gave the opposite impression. Can someone shed light on this for me? My second question relates to crime and drugs. We're looking to make a move from our current town because it's become over-run with these things. Not the milder drugs but hard-core drugs and the crime that goes with them. We have children and are hoping to get them away from this and into a healthier environment. Could anyone tell me if the island has a crime/drug problem that we should be aware of? That's about it. I hope someone will be able to shed some light on these things for me. Thanks. |
