LET'S GET THIS FORUM IN GEAR!!!!!!!!
I am not sure what everyone else thinks, but we need to get this forum hopping, I live in the states and its getting close to the season. So lets start putting information on this thing and getting some activity going. People.....this is a free avenue for you to express or pass along any information about everything. If its just to tell everyone to have a great day. I check this forum about once a week and thats because there is no activity. I would check everyday if I new that there would be something to read. Now ideas......how about fishing reports, new things happening, great places to eat, things to do, that is just some of the things I look for. This is a free avenue for lots of ideas, so start taking advantage of them |

That is right the season is almost here. Now I like the thought of sitting out on my deck, watching the sun set and twilight set in, cooking a nice thick steak on the grill, a cold drink of choice. Nothing else but the sounds of the island as my music. If I could end every day like that, life would be good. Question: If you could pick, what would be your perfect end of day, on the island? |

I think you've just about picked it John although it's a toss-up as to which I would consider better. While I do enjoy sitting out on my deck at the end of a long day what a "cold drink of choice" and letting everything wind down for the day I think I prefer the dawn when everything is just waking up. How about a fresh cup of coffee, sitting out on that same deck, the sun is just starting to rise over the lake, the birds are starting in to the feeders, maybe there is a lingering partridge on the lawn, the ducks and geese are on the shore... The air is clean, clear and cool... Kind of hard to beat for me. |

See thats a toss up, usually in the morning I am not taking the time to sit on my deck, however I am sitting on my boat and with the fog just on the surfase of the water and the sun just making over the trees and you are just now feeling its warmth the only noise I hear is a loon. Catching fish or not that is an awesome time of day. |

I just checked out the Gore Bay web cam and noticed all the snow. Now that sucks!!! Temps dropped here into the 20's last night (Columbus Ohio)but not as much snow. My flowering pink weeping cherry is in full bloom and contrast what snow just fell its quiet a site. I hope it gets back to normal soon. I need to mow. |
