Wikwemikong Rodeo
I received a question from an anonymous source a couple days ago and unfortunately because they left no contact information I cannot reply to them directly. So… “Wikwemikong Rodeo at the ball park, where is the park and are there motels close to where the rodeo is being held...” The rodeo is being held at the Tunderbird Park in Wikwemikong, the same location as the Pow-Wow is held each year. There are several locations to stay right in Wiky such as the En-Dye Inn Bed & Breakfast (www.abordigital.ca/endyeinn/) or Peltier's Tent and Trailer Park (http://www.quadtours.com/quad/peltier/) and you should also check out the others listed on the Our Manitoulin! “Wikwemikong” and “Places to Stay” pages. The closest community to Wiky would be Manitowaning and the main motel there is “The Wayside”. I haven’t a listing of events yet but I’m told that their web page will be up and running in a few days and I’ll post the address as soon as I receive it. Hope to see you all at the rodeo! |
