I'm thinking of moving to Manitoulin Island.
Yeah, I know - no jobs available. Any additional info or feedback would be greatly appreciated. So, tell me ... what's it really like living on Manitoulin Island. Coach Rick |

Best darned place in the world! Unless your heart is set on a "big city" lifestyle this is the place for you. People, scenery, peace & quiet, all possible water activities, hiking, seasonal tourism, good local shopping with the so-called "major" stores within easy driving distance and many active community and service club based activities. I came for a visit almost 30 years ago and we've ended up building our retirement home here. I'm staying! |

That's how I'm thinking. I hate the city with a passion. I come up every year and I want to stay. I'm having a problem assessing the real estate situation. Agents don't return phone calls or emails. Is there not a MLS system in place? I'm coming - it's only a manner of time. Thanks for the comments. Keep them coming please. Any football on the island? Coach Rick |

Would you like me to have a couple of the local real estate agents get in touch with you? You can always send me a message with your e-mail directly to info@ourmanitoulin.com if you don't want to post your address on the web site. |

No, but thanks Webmaster. I subscribe to the Expositor and will use that as a guide. Seems like the same listings are advertised every week. Don't properties ever sell there? |

Let us know next time you come to the island. We'll buy you a coffee!

I was going to come up next week to see some land and have that coffee but the Realtor never called me back and now I see it's sold. I think I'm going to advertise - Property Wanted - and buy privately. |

I'll look at anything. I want to move to the Isle and have a home for myself - privacy a must - and I will buy a few more properties on the side. Email me at rberenz@golden.net. |
