ANY OPINIONS FROM EXPERIENCED RABBIT MEN ON TRAINIG PEN

I have been wanting to build a puppy traing pen for abou 5 years now and still havent but am getting serious now that I have rabbit dogs. Can anyone suggest what would be ideal acerage to fence, how many rabbits to the acre, and if their are any state regulations on a rabbit pen.I have a couple of ideal places to build one.I would like to build on the farm I manage down from my house. This farm is ideal because we quit farming the land and the fields have been planted in seed pines about 2 years ago.It is not real thick yet but by next summer it should be right.Any info would be appreciated.

Re: ANY OPINIONS FROM EXPERIENCED RABBIT MEN ON TRAINIG PEN

I made mine 4 acres.Put it in one of our old cow pastures and man has it growed up thick.I have no problem with running old dogs in it to exercise them.I built it for puppies though. When I am finished it will be around 30 acres, saving up my money right now.I like to have one rabbit per acre,I dont like being able to stumble on rabbits!!!!!!!!!!As far as regulations Dont know, mine is a COW PEN!!!!!!!!LOL If you have any questions shoot me an email.
