Re: TRACKING BOXES
Doug, which Icom box are you speaking of? I run a small telemetry business out of my home, and my dealing with the new icom ic-r20 is that it is harder to use than the ic-r10 was and it seems to the few that I talked to not to work as good, most of them sold it for something else. I dont know why they (icom) quit making the ic-r10 b/c it was/is a good tracking box. You may want to look at the yaesu's or the q/t boxes. I sell both if you are interested.

Re: TRACKING BOXES
Doug I had a R-10, it was a great box. I got the quicktrack 5000 box last yr and love it, more range, less buttons to mess with all around a bit better for just dog tracking.

Re: TRACKING BOXES
I have an Icom ICR20 that I have been using for several years. It works great! I hear a lot about the Quick Track system. Can anyone tell me about that? Does it get a better range than the Icom?

Re: TRACKING BOXES
But isn't the wildlife box restricted to one frequency? Unlike the ICOM that can pick up all.

Re: TRACKING BOXES
Thats correct unless you have another frequency added to your box.But two frequency is all you can have in wildlife box.

Re: TRACKING BOXES
I HAVE SEEN THE WILDLIFE BOXES WITH 4 FREQUENCIES. A GUY IN OUR CLUB HAS ONE, ALTHOUGH IT WAS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE.I REALLY LIKE MY QUICKTRACK BOX 216-221 FREQ.S AND THE RANGE IS BETTER THAN THE ICOM BOXES IN MY OPIONION.

Re: TRACKING BOXES
I hear a lot about the QuickTrack boxes. Are these numerous frequencies like the ICOM boxes? Where do you get them?

Re: TRACKING BOXES
GILBERT, I KNOW WHERE U CAN GET QUICK TRACK BOXES IN EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA IF YOU LIVE THERE. BUT IF YOU DON'T LIVE IN ENC. THEN LOOK IN THE CHASE MAGAZINE FOR THE QUICK TRACK ADVERTISEMENT. THEY HAVE FREQUENCIES THAT START AT 216 AND END WITH 221. JUST LIKE ICOM.
