Hurricane Auction - please read and help!!!!
I have had several people call me and ask if I would do an auction to help the people that was hit by Hurricane Gustav. It kinda makes me mad on the coverage on tv of the hurricane. Seems like they show New Orleans and how they didn't get hit so bad, etc etc.... but what about the other people... living in rural areas... foxhunters that lost their kennels and homes. I know it's been a rough time for a lot of people due to high gas prices and the economy, but I feel like I really need to do this to help those people hit hard by Gustav, and..... Hanna is heading towards Ga, SC or NC AND.... Ike and Josephine could hit any of us also. So I am doing a combined auction to have a hurricane fund to be able to buy dog food, supplies, gas and anything else we can do to help people affected by the hurricanes. I am asking for donations of ANYTHING. I am asking for the foxhunting community to step up and help the foxhunters and their families hit by these storms. I am asking Foxhunting associations even to donate .... donate some entry fees to a hunt of yours coming up this year.... donate dog food... donate puppies... donate items you have around your home that we can auction off. Please... everyone... anyone... help me help others. Post on the message boards ... just please help us help others. I will be taking donations and giving out bid numbers this weekend. The auction will officially start on Monday September 8th and end on Monday, Sept 22. Please help me make this one the biggest and best of all. Please don't think that your stud hound won't bring in much so you won't donate. Every little bit will help. This will help those that maybe can't pay a high stud fee, but would really like to breed to your hound. Thank you so very much |

Only four wonderful people have donated so far. Looks like maybe we won't be having an auction. I know things are hard, they are really rough even for us right now, but we will donate what we can to help others. I am hoping some more of you will be able to help. I'll wait through the weekend, to see if I can get more donations. If not, then we won't be having an auction this time around. Thank you everyone who has donated and called. It's great hearing from you and getting a chance to talk. Thank you. |
