There should be a button close to the front edge of the bottom plate. You should be able to open the front door after pressing the button. The front door will latch when it is fully opened. To close it again, you have to press a bar close to the front edge of the front door below the lens.
The VitoIII is a rather rare camera and depending on its condition it should be worth at least USD50 to 100.
Never force anything on the folding mechanism of old cameras. If you can't open and close it with reasonable force you should give it to a repair shop. I think a VitoIII is worth it. |
