The camera probably was made by WELTA Kamerawerk (near Dresden), a camera manufacturer with a good reputation before the war. Your camera probably was made for plates, the dimensions and the focal length of the lens point us towards a 9x12 plate format. Cameras like this were made until the early 1930s when they were more and more outdated by cameras using 6x9 cm films.
I think it will not be easy to sell such a camera for a good price. Those who still make photos on plates (or rather on sheet films) prefer cameras with high end lenses such as the Tessar (I don't know about the performance of this special Rodenstock lens). I don't know whether there are special flea markets for cameras in former Yugoslavia. Maybe you can sell it on a flea market for antique items. |
