Summer transfers!?

Anybody heard about any player transfers for next season? Where players are moving to etc...

not sure which ex gent you are, but the reaction of the players is actually the opposite! All have signed the retained list and are looking forward to next season.

If you weren't an ex gent you'd have had your say in the matter.

lets see who stays shall we ,heard that newton boys are following there manager over to gampton 3rds , how long til he takes over res's? newton won div 1 and gents nearly relagated .....which manager would you take ?

SO TRUE.many players playing in the swpl and getting paid that wouldn't get in the teams of the top four of the sdl prem.

I agree with you Phil Lloyd. The standard in the SDL Premier league in particular has been of a high level as Bovey showed in beating Budleigh in the Devon Premier Cup. A lot of players joined the Peninsula bandwagon in pre-season only to return to the SDL as the money promises failed to materialise and the longer travelling became a problem for those with work commitments.
With the exception of Bucklands 2 teams and 1 or 2 others when at full strength, the standard in the lower divisions though in general has dropped.
In particular, from the games i've watched, i didn't feel the quality in Div 1 was very good. Only my opinion but T&D Res were the best footballing side and Riviera the most organised, with no major stars but good at playing to their strengths. These 2 will hold their own in the Premier with a couple more additions.

standard in sdl is poor and more and more idiots are appearing all the time, poor challenges being made that are not accidental and wannabe "gangstas" walking around the pitches thinking that they are gods gift when in fact they are just IDIOTS.
AS FOR TRANSFERS, teignmouth 1sts and resys will be the teams to beat with the amount of players going to and coming back to.

bovey upton and brix villa would have beat 99% of teams in swpl this season. the standard of all local football has dropped swpl and sdl in last 10 years.

To say villa bovey and upton sdl teams would beat 99% of swpl teams is not true in a one off game when the sdl side is the underdog and has nothing to lose and the swpl side underestimates them then maybe but over a season these temas would not do quite as well. I think it will be a good test for Bovey they will hold thier own but wont win as many games and the standard of football is better, which will suit their style of play. Just because a couple of sdl sides win one off games this does not make them a better side than the opposistion. Otherwise Barnsley and Cardiff would be top of the championship about to go and win the premiership.!!! P.S. Good luck to Bovey next year look forward to a full blooded encounter both home and away. Its good to see a team wanting to progress, unlike others who seem content to sit back and say what the would do rather than what they are doing.
