Message:   Theres one thing that we all agree upon, as sure as theres a sun up above
And that is good ole country music is something that we surely do love
Theres something special about the songs that which you and I can relate
The songs are about the common people about living and yes even our fate
Take a look back at Jimmy Rodgers, theres a man that put it all in a song
About the railroad days and ill health, and he knew his time wasn't long
He had to quit the braking on a train and a guitar he soon strapped on
And sang about his dad and home and Roll Along Kentucky Moon roll on
He sang about the good old days as it clear in Land Of My Boyhood Days
About A Little Home In New Orleans and his Rough And Rowdy Ways
He spoke from his experiences there is no doubt in Whipping That Old TB
He sang Why Should I Be Lonely, and Fifteen Years Ago when he was free
He has influenced so many singers that was touched by all his songs I know
From Hank Snow to Ernest Tubb and yes I think in a way even Bill Monroe
Many have tried to imitate his style but there'll only be one Jimmie thats certain
In that fateful day in May 1933 when God on his life pulled the curtain
