If you like your music non-electric and you are in the Meridian area then you will not be unhappy..That form of music known as "Hillbilly Jazz" is all around..Sandy Ridge,Whynot School House,Daleville Community Center,Little Rock and others that pop up unanounced..It is also called bluegrass and is Welcomed at TISBA functions..If you need a fine guitar for a paltry price, then Mr. Ken Haguewood will one day get around to making you one..He is lately using a local and very beautiful and resonant wood known as poplar..There is nothing in it for me but what he produces is right up there with C.F. Martin Dreadnaughts...I play dobro, guitar and harp with a band called "Close Enough" and we work for churches, public events or charitry and you get much more than you pay for because we do it for free..Ronny Grayson |
