Dear Runners, A small group of us will be running a 5 mile cross country race on Saturday afternoon. It is the Croydon Switchback organised by Striders of Croydon . It starts at 2.30. Race HQ is between Sandilands and Ranmore Avenue. If travelling by public transport from Beckenham Area, take tram to Sandilands Station. Turn right out of station, X Woodbury Close and Sandilands is next on right. Club House is off to right, at end of Sandilands. You can also access from Ranmore Avenue. For car drivers, I don't know the official car parking arrangement, but there is a car park at end of Sandilands. Race start is at the elbow of Ranmore and Deepdene Avenues, I suppose about 5 minutes trot from HQ. A smaller group will be running a 10 mile race on Sunday, Epsom College 10. If you should like to join, the race starts from the Rubbing House next to Epsom Race Course. Nearest station is Tattenham Corner which is served from East Croydon and Sydenham. For some reason there are no direct services from Penge West this Sunday. Start is 10.00 GRIZZLY At least 2 club members have applied to enter the Grizzly. If you want to join, you need to enter now. I can't remember the URL but if you google on Axe Valley Runners you will find the web site. |
