from the runners world forum, thanks ruth. "HI there. The Alderney Half. I'ts a two lap course encorporating Tourgis Hill twice. The first time 1.5K aprox in and 12.5k in. You do need to be fit and you will find that the rest of the course is either down hill or flat with breath taking views (excuse the punn) The race is very friendly and all AHM runners are invited to a complementary snack at the finish. The first Ten home receive an extra gold medal. Last year a lady runner gave the men a run for their money and took her gold medal. We expect that the course times will improve as this race becomes more well known." |
