Re: rev limiter

You may try and contact Frank or Bill at Kimmel Racing at (812)944-0444.We had some problems. I know a few other teams did as well. We are taking the car to Salem to see what is going on. We think it may have something to do with low voltage. We are not running an atlernator. We will be glad and post any information we find out. Good luck.

Re: rev limiter

We didn't have any problems with our rev limiter, we even doule checked them when we got home, we had two cars that went to Bristol, both of them good, and you might want to put an alttenator on for KY, you will be on the track for an hour and a half, plus all the practicing and qualifying, it gets busy in the pits, and we run alt. on our cars it keeps you from having to get the battery chargers out all the time, the 10 minutes at the halfway point isn't much time to put a charge in a battery. but that is up to you.

Re: rev limiter

Waldo,

Were you running an alternator? We will be putting one on for Kentucky. I am still working on checking if the low voltage played a role in ours not working.

Re: rev limiter

Jeff we have talked to most of the guys that have had problem with the rev limiters and all seem to be running it without an alt. My advice would be to put one on just to be safe.

Re: rev limiter

We are putting an alternator on for Kentucky. We do not want to take any chances for the next race. I hope other racers are using these discussions on the forum and making adjustments where they see fit and needed. This is really great information for a lot of teams and those who are new to this type of racing. We are looking forward to bringing a real challenge to the Kentucky race. Good luck to all.
